As a first glimpse of the 2017 vintage, the Stellenbosch Cabernet Collective is proud to announce the dates of the 2017 Vintage Preview to be held at the historic Lanzerac Estate in Stellenbosch on the 19th and 20th of October 2018. Stellenbosch will be pouring 30 of its fine 2017 Cabernet Sauvignons at this exclusive weekend event.
The event will take the form of a walk around tasting, where guests can sample the vintage from all participating producers whilst enjoying paired canapes. Two Masterclass® tastings will be on offer, the Stellenbosch Heritage Tasting and the International Icon, both of which will take place on the Friday and Saturday at different time slots. The Heritage Tasting will comprise of older vintages of Stellenbosch Cabernets from decades past and leading up to some younger examples, with different wines showcased at each tasting. The International Presentation will feature sought-after Cabernets from around the world. The Stellenbosch Cabernet Collective will reveal the line up in September.
All 2017 vintages will be available to purchase at pre-release prices and all orders will be collated by the team at Wine Cellar.
The ticket prices for the walk around tasting on the Friday (3 – 8pm) and the Saturday (10 – 3pm) which includes unlimited tastings, canapes and entertainment are R350 per person per day. The Stellenbosch Heritage tasting is R650 per person per session, and the International Icon Masterclass is R1250 per person per session. Both of these include access to the walk around tasting on the day that the session is booked. A weekend pass is available which includes access to both Stellenbosch Heritage tastings, one of the International Presentation sessions and the walk around tastings on both days and costs R2200 per person. The bustling centre of Stellenbosch will host several dinners and events over the same weekend, all of which can be booked directly with the various venues.
