In celebration of the 2020 harvest and the farm’s 321st birthday, Ken Forrester is hosting an activity-filled family harvest event that will really give you something to stomp about. The ‘321 Harvest Stomp’ will provide guests with the opportunity to assist in making their own wine, whilst tasting Ken Forrester’s delicious wine range and enjoying lunch on the lawn.

To be held at Ken Forrester Vineyards on Saturday the 29th of February 2020 from 11h00 to 15h00, this event encourages all wine enthusiasts and their families to participate in an exciting harvest experience. Guests will be given the fun opportunity to assist in the wine making process, by stomping their own grapes! The winemaking at team at Ken Forrester will provide top-quality grapes that are ready for picking on that day from their very own vineyards, for guests to lend a foot in pressing. The grapes that are stomped on the day will be vinified separately and everyone will be given the opportunity to purchase the special wine at ‘winemaking team’ prices. Orders will be taken at the event, and the wine will be delivered once it is bottles and ready to go.

“This is such a fun way to enjoy the harvest on our farm, and a 321st birthday is a great reason to celebrate- if you needed one!”, says Ken Forrester. “Expect some great wines and a delicious lunch, with a hint of Chenin Blanc of course”, he continues. Not only will guests enjoy the stomp activities, but the vibey Raithby Band will keep everyone entertained. A mini-stomp, ice lollies and a kids lunch box will keep your little ones busy throughout the day.

Tickets are available on quicket.com at R395 per person and R150 per child (under 18) and include the traditional grape stomp, Cheninitas (Ken’s take on a Margarita!), a delicious lunch, a walk around tasting and a selection of Ken Forrester wines all afternoon.

What a way to start a new decade of fun times with Ken Forrester- let’s get stomping!
